Job Title: ARES Program Assistant
Hours: 35 hours a week, non-exempt, hybrid/remote
Location: TBD
Hourly Rate: $25 per hour
$1,000 sign-on bonus
Benefits:
- Eligible for dental and health insurance on the first day of employment (DEAF, Inc. pay 85%, employee pay 15%)
- Paid vacation time (12 days), sick time (10 days), and personal time (2 days) for first year; increases each year
- Paid holidays (13 days) and a paid holiday break at the end of December
- Employee Assistance Program, 401k, and short/long-term disability insurance
The ideal candidate is:
- A motivated, self-starter, technically-savvy, detail-oriented professional
- Fluent in ASL with exceptional written English skills
- A quick and independent learner
- Supports DEAF, Inc.'s goals
Required Qualifications
- Ability to handle multi-step tasks independently
- Skilled using Google applications (Drive, Mail, Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Slides)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to take data and produce basic statistics, charts and diagrams
- Ability to manage detailed tasks while maintaining focus on overarching goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- Ability to function in stressful situations and meet urgent requests
Key Duties:
- Produce high-quality finished product work according to program needs
- Prioritize work, ensuring multi-step projects and tasks are completed
- Research information and produce statistics needed to support grant proposals and reports
- Provide initial technical troubleshooting, including connectivity, database, Google Suite, MS Office
- Be the ARES point person for communication access requests
- Support ARES with a variety of logistical supports
