Job Title: Community Education Manager

Hours: 35 hours a week, exempt, hybrid

Location: TBD

$1,500 sign on bonus, relocation costs covered!

Description: The Community Education Manager supports the implementation of new and existing educational programs for DEAF, Inc. consumers and communities across Eastern MA. The Community Education Manager joins a team of three other managers that coordinate ARES services for Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals.

The ideal candidate has:

- Desire to empower, share knowledge, and see others learn and grow
- Ability to work independently and within teams in both remote and in-person environments
- Strong computer skills and ability to use technology for work and communication
- Ability to execute duties with genuine intent to expand DEAF, Inc. services 

Key Duties:

- Support the implementation of educational programs for consumers, including driver's ed, ASL, citizenship, health, and others, and contribute to the expansion of new programs
- Manage, support, and evaluate all educational programs, including curriculum development, instructor recruitment, public relations, attendance, consumer satisfaction, and program records
- Teach classes as assigned
- Regularly monitor and assess consumer progress and class effectiveness; coordinate extra supports as needed
- Write reports, collect essential data, and participate in funder site visits as required
- Provide support with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Available to work occasional nights and weekends
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

- Fluency in American Sign Language and written English
- Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and promptly; strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience teaching Deaf adults with minimal language skills or are non-native ASL or English users
- Able to travel independently and reliably
- Experience with supervision or providing mentorship a plus
