Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in the area of deafness, human services, or a related field, or 2 years of related work experience with Deaf or Hard of Hearing adults
• Fluency in written English
• Willing to learn and use additional communication modes (i.e., visual gestures)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Must have reliable and accessible private transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Sensitivity to and awareness of issues affecting individuals and seniors with hearing loss
• Working knowledge of assistive technology for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Late Deafened adults
• Experiential community involvement

Key Duties:
• Manage a reasonable caseload of adults who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing who use American Sign Language and spoken English to communicate
• Provide direct services including intake, peer counseling, advocacy, skills training, and information and referral
• Conduct intake assessments and develop written service plans that delineate advocacy and skills training goals, coordinate implementation, and periodically review the plan
• Provide outreach and education to consumers and the community
