  • ASL Fluency and ability to communicate in written English
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of related work/personal experience with Deaf adults
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and achieve program goals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Sensitivity to and awareness of issues affecting individuals and seniors with hearing loss
  • Working knowledge of assistive technology for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Late Deafened adults
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite

  • Manage a reasonable caseload of Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults who who use ASL and/or Spoken English 
  • Provide direct services including intake, peer counseling, advocacy, skills training, and information and referral
  • Support individuals to understand various processes complete  applications, explain letters and notices 
  • Document all services provided accurately and timely
  • Participate in events, workshops, and meetings - occasional evening and weekend hours
